super fun family session!

I met the K family a while back at church. They are such a fun family... plenty of joking and sarcasm to go around, so definitely my kind of people. :) And it doesn't hurt that they have 2 of the sweetest kids you'll ever meet! Their session was SO much fun. I think I need to bring my Depends for the next time I photograph them. :)

T has a new baby sister!

I photographed Little Man T for his first birthday, and was so excited to meet his new baby sister today! She was a mere 6 days old, and super sweet! She was so tiny, and had the longest toes I've ever seen on a newborn. :) Enjoy your sneak peek, B family!

it all started on facebook....

I love seeing old friends from high school and church on facebook... reconnecting, reminiscing, seeing how we've all changed and grown up (well, most of us anyway :).  Mia and I went to high school together in England in the early nineties (showing my age, I know!). We had reconnected on facebook a while back and she's living in Colorado now (which I hear isn't NEAR as humid as North Carolina :). So imagine my excitement when Mia sent me a message a few weeks ago, saying she and her family were traveling out here for a visit! She and I share the love of photography, and she wanted to set up a session while she was in NC. It was great seeing you again, Mia! Enjoy your sneak peek! (And your beach trip!)

beautiful day for a wedding!

Wendy and I went to Statesville today to photograph Jessica and Jason's nuptials. We were worried about the weather since the forecast called for storms, but the day was beautiful! Jessica, Jason and their family and friends were a fun group, and we really enjoyed being a part of their special day. Congratulations to the happy couple!

Little Miss A came to see me for her birthday photos today. She is SO cute and has the prettiest big blue eyes! She was on a mission to explore today, so we didn't stay in one place too long! Despite the horrible humidity, it was a fun session! Thanks for the fun afternoon, H family!

I photographed my nephew's precious little girl today. She is almost 9 months old now, and I just can't believe how fast she is growing up! She has the sweetest face. I really enjoyed spending time with her today!

Have I ever mentioned that I LOVE what I do?? Because I really, really do! I got to spend a few hours this morning with this beautiful, 4-day-old little girl. She was so sweet... I kept telling her parents that I was going to take her home with me, but I think they thought I was kidding. :) I am waiting for another 4 or 5 babies to be born this month, and I'm SO excited!
