happy birthday, little miss h! | winston-salem family photographer

I really can't believe it's been a year since I last photographed this sweet family. The girls are growing up, and big sister K has such a personality! Little H is just as sweet as can be, and boy, is she a mover! This was a super fun session!

so i met this boy.... | winston-salem family photographer

... and he stole my heart. his name is mason, and he's 9 years old. he has this great family and lots of friends and love and support. he's silly and brave and an inspiration to so many. he has a sweet, sweet spirit that you can just feel when you're around him. and let me tell you, when he smiles, you just can't help but smile too.

on the outside, mason looks like like a normal, happy kid... but on the inside, his body is fighting a battle that most of us can't comprehend. you see, mason has a rare cancer called anaplastic ganglioglioma and the tumors in his brain are not getting better. i have been following mason's story for a while, but when a friend told me that he had progressed from the "cure stage" to the "palliative care stage" (just making him comfortable), i knew i needed to help. i don't have a lot to offer, but i wanted to give them a family photo session while mason was feeling well enough. i am so glad i did. meeting mason and his family might have just changed my life. what an amazing strength they have. here is a glimpse into our session....

my new friend, mason...

showing off his strength!

they're a little crazy :)

might be my favorite of the day...

here is Mr Courageous himself with my friend, Elaine, who introduced us... told you he's silly. :)

please keep mason and his family in your prayers. you can follow his story here

angie rocks the quilting! | clemmons & winston-salem photographer

So a while back, an idea struck me suddenly.... I was photographing a family with a little girl, and I was really wishing I had an adorable girly/vintagey quilt to set her on for her photos. I immediately thought of my friend, Angie, and her amazing quilt-making skills! When I told Angie of my super idea, she somehow climbed into my brain and figured out exactly what I was looking for (since I can't seem to articulate the quilty things... they have a whole 'nother language for that stuff!). And just a couple of weeks ago, voila! I had an adorable girly/vintagey quilt! Angie is my hero. Isn't this quilt gorgeous??? If you need anything quilt-like, you should definitely contact Angie!

Little Miss T was a fast mover, so she didn't stick around on the quilt very long, but I was able to grab a quick shot of her before she left. :)

Seriously, she's the cutest thing ever! And she even smiled for me. :) If you have a furry friend who's near and dear to your heart, contact me for an appointment for a special pet photography session!

she's one! | clemmons child photographer

have i mentioned lately that i love what i do? one of my favorite things about my job is the awesome people i meet... people who begin as clients but become friends. i love getting to know them, watching their kids grow up, and getting to be a small part of that. photography is such a personal business, and i love every minute of it.

time really flies. i can't believe little miss t is already a year old! she has such a personality already and is just too stinking cute. she gave me a run for my money yesterday.... or rather a run all over the park. :) she is full of energy and she adores her family... as long as they don't try to make her sit still! i enjoyed our session, b family! hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

t has the most gorgeous blue eyes!

she seriously made this fishy face every time she gave kisses! too cute!

wouldn't be a b family session without big brother t trying to get in on the action! :)
