The studio is finally finished, and I was so excited to shoot in it on Saturday morning! The weather was beautiful, so we went outside for a few at the end, too! I was happy to have these blue-eyed handsome boys to be the first to try out the new space. I think they liked it!

can i just start by saying i *love* this kid? i mean, it's enough that he's adorable and cuddly in all his squishy newborn goodness, but then.... THEN.... at 2 1/2 weeks old, he slept the *whole* session. i was shocked. he was in total chill mode, and it was fantastic. i'm so glad he's my newest baby planner! i made him promise that he'd be just as well-behaved and adorable for his 6 month and 1 year sessions. he agreed. can't wait to hang with my new little buddy again!

he didn't even get mad at me for putting the hat on him. not yet anyway, wait til he's a teenager :)

i got to spend a few hours with this sweet little guy on saturday. he fought sleep (and won :) and i gave him the nickname houdini (he earned it!). we got lots of awake photos, and his cousin, who was one of my baby planners, came by for some 2 year old photos. enjoy your sneak peek!

i can see already what a great big sister miss p is! she's very protective of her new sister, and wants to know her every move. baby a is such a little beauty! i enjoyed this session with this sweet family!

i'm always excited when a dear friend has a new little baby for me to photograph (because that's why they have babies, right? so i can take photos of them? :) so i was on pins and needles waiting for my friend kati to have her beautiful little (and i mean that! she's tiny!!!) girl. baby j didn't make me wait too long, she showed up a couple of weeks early! i tried to bring her home with me, but kati said no... although she mentioned she might change her mind on a sleepless night! :) thank you, kati, for letting me photograph your precious little girl! i'm so happy you're one of my baby planners!

just 7 days after she was born, i was able to capture this little beauty. such a cuddly little girl, she was so sweet during our session!

what a cutie! the 2 fire ant bites i got during this session were totally worth getting some shots of this adorable little girl! :) she was a little princess, and lit up with that huge grin every time her mommy sang to her. loved those great facial expressions too! she definitely stole a place in my heart!

i just *adore* little miss e. i can't believe she's already a year old. time goes by too fast! she was so super sweet, as usual, and she looked absolutely adorable for her 1 year old photo session. her mom always finds the cutest outfits and headbands for e, and this session was no exception! i really had so much fun with the g family, and was glad we finished up just in the nick of time, before the rain started. i'm in disbelief that this was the last session of e's baby plan, but i hope there will be lots of sessions in the future with the g family!

the weather has been pretty intense around here lately, so i was super glad that we had a beautiful (albeit humid!) afternoon for baby k's session on sunday! she was the sweetest, sleepiest baby ever. it was fantastic. :) thanks for a great session, g family!

i really can't believe how much my baby plan babies change from their newborn session to their six month session. i am tempted to request visitation between sessions. :) this little guy was so handsome, and his big sister really adores him. check out their sneak peek!

angie rocks the quilting! | clemmons & winston-salem photographer

So a while back, an idea struck me suddenly.... I was photographing a family with a little girl, and I was really wishing I had an adorable girly/vintagey quilt to set her on for her photos. I immediately thought of my friend, Angie, and her amazing quilt-making skills! When I told Angie of my super idea, she somehow climbed into my brain and figured out exactly what I was looking for (since I can't seem to articulate the quilty things... they have a whole 'nother language for that stuff!). And just a couple of weeks ago, voila! I had an adorable girly/vintagey quilt! Angie is my hero. Isn't this quilt gorgeous??? If you need anything quilt-like, you should definitely contact Angie!


Little Miss T was a fast mover, so she didn't stick around on the quilt very long, but I was able to grab a quick shot of her before she left. :)
